Raney
I am a Graphic Designer, currently designing icons for Esri, a mapping company. Over the past 5 years I have worked in many different design positions, currently as a technical designer for Esri, but I have also held positions as a design intern at ThredUP and as the lead designer and art director for The Point magazine. I am also a perpetual member of the Torrey Honors Institute - meaning I am a huge nerd who loves to read a ton of old books and talk about them for hours. When I’m not designing, I read crummy romance novels, scroll endlessly through tiktok, and snuggle animals.
An excellent teammate, communicator and facilitator.
I have a keen eye for subtle details.

How I work
I love thinking big, and small at the same time, knowing when to ideate complex design systems and then apply pixel-perfect attention to detail to execute that vision.
I grasp and distill highly complex issues and translate them into clean, focused, understandable solutions.
My work often involves illustrating for a large number of use cases and conditions, resolving dependencies, and working with technical constraints.
I enjoy improving existing patterns and finding innovative solutions for new features and use cases
